CLASS PROP!-IECY Once three billy goats lived by a hill. There was Great Billy Got Gruff. There was Big Billy Goat Gruff. And there was Little Billy Goat Gruff. The three billy goats had to go up the hill to eat. The goats had to go over a bridge to go up the hill. And under! the bridge lived a big fat Troll! Little Billy Goat Gruff started to go over the bridge. Trip, trap! Trip, trap! went the bridge. Who is on my bridge? said the big fat Troll in his great big voice. Little Billy Goat Gruff said, Chl It is I, Little Billy Goat Gruff. Imust go over the bridge and go up the hill and get fat. You can not go over my bridge. I will eat you! said the big fat Troll in his great big voice. Little Billy Goat Gruff said, Oh, please! Do not eat me. I am too little. Eat Big Billy Goat Gruff. He is a big billy goat. Get away from my bridge, then, said the big fat Troll. Away the little billy goat ran. He ran up the hill to get fat. Then Big Billy Goat Gruff started to go over the bridge. Trip, trap! Trip, trap! went the bridge. Who is on my bridge? said the big fat Troll in his great big voice. Oh! It is I, said Big Billy Goat Gruff. I must go over the bridge and go up the hill and get fat. You can not go over my bridge. I will eat you! said the big fat Troll in his great big voice. Big Billy Goat Gruffsaid Oh, please! Do not eat me. I am too little. Eat great Billy Goat Gruff. He is a great big Goat. Get away from my bridge, then, said the big fat Troll. Away the big billy goat ran. He ran up the hill to get fat. Then great Billy Goat Gruff started to go over the bridge. Trip, trap! Trip, trap, trip! went the bridge. Who is on my bridge? said the big fat Troll in his great big voice. It is I, Great Billy Goat Gruff, said Great Billy Goat Gruff. He had a big voice, too. You can not go over my bridge. I will eat you! said the big fat Troll. You will not eat me, said Great Billy Goat Gruff. I will knock you off the bridge. Then the big fat Troll came up on the bridge. He ran at Great Billy Goat Gruff. Great Billy Goat Gruff ran at the big fat Troll. Bump! Bump! Bump! Down went the big fat Troll. Great Billy Goat Gruff knocked the big fat Troll of the bridge. That was the end of the big fat Troll. Trip, Trap! Trip, trap! Trip, trap, trap! The three billy goats go over the bridge and go up the hill and get fat. 7

The three bears had three bowls. Father Bear had a great big bowl. Mother Bear had a big bowl, too. Little Wee Bear had a little wee bowl. The three bears had soup in the three bowls. The three bears had three chairs. Father Bear had a great big chair. Mother Bear had a big chair, too. Little Wee Bear had a little wee chair. The three bears had three beds. Father Bear had a great big bed. Mother Bear had a big bed, too. Little Wee Bear had a little wee bed. , One morning Father Bear could not eat h'is'soup. Mother Be-ar could not Cat her soup. And Little Wee Bear could not eat his soup. The three bears could not eat the soup. It was too hot. So the three bears went for 2. walk. Father Bear went for a walk. Mother Bear went for a walk. Little Wee Bear went for a walk. The three bears went for a walk in the woods. A little girl cameto the three bears' house. The little girl was Golden- hair. Goldenhair went into the three bears' house. She saw the three bowls. Father Bear had soup in his great big bowl. Mother Bear had soup in her big bowl, too. Little Wee Bear had soup in his little wee bowl. Goldenhair said, I will eat the soup in the bowls. But Father Bear's soup was too hot. And Mother Bear's soup was too hot. Goldenhair said, I will eat the soup in the little wee bowl. And she ate it all. Goldenhair saw the three chairs. She said, I will sit in the chairs. But Father Bear's chair was too big!! And Mother Bear's chair was too big. Goldenhair said, I will sit in the little wee chair. And she did. Down it went. Bump!!!

CLASS HISTORY Once there was alittle old man. And once there was a little old woman. The little old man was Mr. Vinegar. The little old woman was Mrs. Vinegar. They lived in a queer little house. It was a little glass house. One day Mr. Vinegar had to go away. Mrs. Vinegar started to workin his house. She knock- ed over a chair. Over went the chair, and down came the little glass house. Mr. Vinegar came home. ,There was the door, but the little glass house was in pieces. Then Mr. Vinegar said to Mrs. Vinegar, We have a door, but we have no house. Iwill put the door on my back. We will go and look for a house. So Mr. Vinegar put the door on his back. Mr. Vinegar and Mrs. Vine- gar started out to look for a house. They looked, and looked, and looked. Night came. Mrs. Vinegar put the door in a tree. They went to sleep on the door in the tree. In the night voices came from under the tree. Mr. and Mrs. Vinegar looked down. They saw robbers under the tree. Mr. Vinegar said, Look, Mrs. Vinegar, look! The robbers have mon- ey. Look at the money! just then the door fell out of the tree. Down came Mr. and Mrs. Vinegar. The robbers ran away. They did not take the money. Mr. Vinegar said, I will take the money and get a cow. Mrs. Vinegar said, Yes, take the money and get a cow. So Mr. Vinegar took the money and went away to get a cow. Mr. Vinegar came to a man who had a cow. He said tonthe man, I must have a cow. I will give you all my money for your cow. The man said, 1 do not want to give up my cow. But you are my friend. I will give you the cow for all your money. So Mr. Vinegar gave all his money for the cow. Mr. Vinegar said. Mr. Vinegar took the cow and started back to Mrs. Vinegar. just then he saw a man with some bagpipes. Tweedle-dee! Tweedle-dee! went the bagpipes. Mr. Vinegar said to the man, I must have some bagpipes. I will give you my cow for your bagpipesf' The man said, I do not want to give up my bagpipes. But you are my friend. I will give you the bagpipes for your cow. So Mr. Vinegar took the bagpipes and started back to Mrs. Vinegar. Mr. Vinegar had the bagpipes. But he could not make the bagpipes say, Tweedle-dee! Tweedle-dee! Mrs. Vinegar saw a man with a fur cap. Ile said to the man, My ears are cold. I will give you my bagpipesfor your fur cap. The man said, I do not want to give up my fur cap.
