Better late than never two girls of the Class of 48 arrived. Donna said that she and her husband, Wayne, had tried chicken-ranching in Alaska, but the hens worked them- selves to death in the midnight sun and soon they went broke. Now they were experi- menting in cross-breeding Sage chickens with Rhode Island Reds.
