Better late than never two girls of the Class of 48 arrived. Donna said that she and her husband, Wayne, had tried chicken-ranching in Alaska, but the hens worked them- selves to death in the midnight sun and soon they went broke. Now they were experi- menting in cross-breeding Sage chickens with Rhode Island Reds. They hoped to de- velop a strain of chickens which would need no seasoning in the dressing She was most optimistic Bob promised to try them out in the Wolfe Den Reta had broken all records in the 1960 Olympics by trying to ski down Devil s Tower she told us from her wheel chair She explained to us that it wasn t the fall that hurt her it was the sudden stop We asked her why she had never married Tearfully she told us the sad tale of Vic Seems he was enyoying an 88 year vacation in Sing Sing in the care of Warden ohn Bays What had happened? just a matter of being a bit careless one day as he was making his daily run of one dollar bills He had put Lincoln s picture on them instead of Washington s Reta said she had hopes for Senator Dille had been using her influence with the president to have him parolled but so far she had been unsuccessful Congress had found it easier to change the face on the dollar than to find all that he made That explained why the U S IS facing an economics crisis And as the morning light peered through the windows we heard the news boys crying EXTRA' EXTRA READ ALL ABOUT IT' GIRL GOES OVER NIAGARA FALLS' Not in a barrel Not in a boat lust goes over' Our eyes were dimmed with tears when we heard that it was our own Kay Graves Was it publicity or was it unre quited love7 Sadly we parted We we Wm lg-gb, W. 0 .
