At the first meeting Mardelle Harvey presided as chairman and called for nomination of oliicers. Since the club attracted so many representatives from all four classes, the charter members decided to elect one otiicer from each class. Thus Richard Moore was chosen Thespisg Kay Graves Auripedes, Duane Averstrect, Acschycus, and Marsha Fleming, Sophocles. Very little has been accomplished this year as far as plays and stage produc- tions are concerned. Instruction in the use of stage make-up given by Mardelle Har- vey and Joan McCain, last year's dramatic students, and some fundamental stage directions are the extent of the year's accomplishments. However, a fine organization has been created and the coming year will no doubt see excellent dramatic programs sponsored by the club.

JOYCE HOOLEY CLIFFORD HENDRYX VIRGINIA CONNORS JOAN MCCAIN PAT GEORGE JACK HAHN DORSEY CHABO BETTIE NALL EVERETT CHAI-'FIN LARRY TERPENING MARDELLE HARVEY JEAN STEPHENS RICHARD MOORE GLORIA GRIFFIN VERNE HANSEN HARRY CLABAUGH NORMAN CARTER GEORGE SLAUGHTERBECK MELVIN WARFORD Thumbnail Sketches Joyce is known to everyone Happy and gay, -she has her fun. Argue, argue early and late If a line were crooked he'd argue it straight. Here we come to one of the best A loyal booster who led the rest. We like her grades, her friendly ways, But best we like the way she plays. A new comer she may be But more like her we'd like to see. He'll lend you a dollar or a dime, But with a lady spend his time. Happy I amg from care I'm free Why aren't they all content like me? She's hep to swing and lots of jive'n And really likes a guy named Ivan. In class I never make a peep I simply catch up on my sleep. If I were mayor of the town I'd sell the school or tear it down. She rushes there and rushes back, But for a friend she'll never lack. She has a sweet and winning way Gaining more friends day by day. Dick has got just what it takes And what he hasn't got he fakes. A Dink, a Chink, what makes you think A wedding ring could be a link? If in trouble you should be 1 know the answer, just ask me. All in a moment he had a bad fall It didn't change his pleasure in teasing at all. He was very busy with Alice, class, and sports, And maybe over hasty when he made his retorts. He states a fact and by this token You may well know, the oracle has spoken His quiet manner is no pose He wants no dates, no girl he beaux. 29
