Juniors JUNIOR JITTERS The Juniors entered M.H.S. just beginning ' ' ' ' AWK to feel their age and superiority to everyone, ex- , , xY cept, of course, the noble Senior Class. They began this new year of advanced ed- -iq ueation and wrinkled brains by electing Bill , -K4 Daley as president, Ivan Million, viee-president, 5 Kay Graves, secretary, and Tommy Lee Jones, V if N treasurer. J L X They started to add to their funds early in V football game, sponsoring a movie, Home Sweet Homicide , and holding a raffle at I - the year by having a hot dog sale at the first Christmas for a blanket. This loot they added to their carefully hoarded funds, and behind locked and shaded doors they planned its disposal on the big affair of the year, the Junior Prom. They closed their Junior year by chasing the Seniors all over the Wyoming territory. They felt ready and able to take on the big' responsibility of next year, after sedately acting as ushers at both Baccalaureate and Commencement. 14 Hawk Rowgleft to right: John Maher, Ivan Million. SOPHOMORE STRUGGLES The Sophomores entered M.H.S. in pursuit of another year and anything they happened to fancy. Things swung into action with six able bodied men on the football squad and David Adams on the first five in basketball. They collected fabulous sums oi' money from a hot dog sale, a movie, Thrill of Brazil , 1 and a sale of Oiler pennants. This money they X Q carefully hoarded away for a rainy day and next i , - year. Then they doubled their funds and won X X X candy and certiticates by selling magazine sub- l A - scriptions. At the end of the year they went 1, X dramatic and presented a play, The Arrival ot' aff Billy. Thus they successfully closed another year with less strug'g'le than anticipated. Z X L I5
