An intramural tournament was held to stimulate interest and 58 boys entered, The Senior Class won the team trophy, Eight varsity dual matches were scheduled, along with four B matches, The Bombers entered the Midland Conference Toumament with five boys winning medals, Next, the Bombers entered the Geary Invitational Tournament against the best high school wrestling teams of Oklahoma and Texas, Five of our boys wrestled their way into the quarter-finals, with two wrestling in the semi-finals. Midwest City has participated in this plan the past five years and hopes to do so again this year, Four candidates have been selected as representatives of our school. They are: Tommy Hall, Seniorg Kay Baum Seniorg Prunie Wallach, Juniorg and Sancha Griffith, Junior, The American Field Service will make the final decision and we sincerely hope one of our students will be selected, Most Likely to Succeed JOAN LARKINS and DON PATE Joan is the president of our Student Council and was a delegate to Oklahoma Girls' State last summer, She was the winner of the Betty Crocker Home- maker of Tomorrow award and the Elks Leadership Contest, In addition to these honors, Joan is an active member of the Bomberette Pep Club, Don is certainly one of the most successful students in our high school, He is the president of the For- ensic League, president of the National Honor Society, president of the Senior Class, and vice- president of the Thespian Troup 101. Don was a delegate to Oklahoma Boys' State, and while there was elected to the Senate, Don is also an active member of the Student Council, Scalar .-Zuforifes The honor, Best All Around could not be better exemplified, Joyce and Toby are active in many of the school activities. Joyce, captain of the gitl's basketball team and president of the M Club, has lettered two years in basketball, She has a versatile personality, and participates in many other activities, includ- ing tennis and Pep Club, 'She has been a color- guard with our band for the past year, f ' Toby is always willing to serve when needed, He is captain of the Bomber Wrestling Team and a member of the National Honor Society. Most Friendly Most Popular SHARON WEEKS and RICHARD EVANS Sharon has a vivacious personality and is well- known in our halls. She is one of the four senior cheerleaders and was chosen Basketball Queen by our team this year, Richard has been one of the most outstanding players on our Bomber Football Team, He has been named as an all-state player for 1955. Kaye is certainly qualified to be called a Typical Midwest Citian, Ronald Price, better known as Snooks, is a three-year letterman in basketball. He is Sergeant-at-Arms in the M Club, and is well-known by everyone at school, Snooks certainly deserves the title of 'Typical Midwest Citian, VICKY KARATZIOU and DELMAS FORD Vicky is our exchange student from Greece this year, She is an active member of the Student Coun- cil, the Art Club, Pep Club and an honorary member of the Senior Executive Board.
