We've taken part in all devilement that the others had started. Pep Rally and Snake Dance, Home-coming Parade and the Television show were well represented by the ener- getic cooperative Sophomores. ln the Home-coming parade we prepared a wonderful float with our class colors, chartreuse and navy blue, symbolizing the wise-fool theme. Mrs. Carlisle's 9:30 Sophomore speech class pre- sented a Christmas program, the ways Christmas is celebrated in different nations. At Christmas, the Sophomore class brought gifts and sent them to the Crippled Children's Hospitals in Oklahoma City for the many children there. Some of our more literate homerooms have such names as: Lyon's Lazy Loafers, Melton's Mad House, Collaborated Club of Carlisle's Calamities, and Webb's Topper Association. During the first and second semester, the follow- ing people ruled over their homerooms iwith on iron hand, we hopel as presidents, Charlotte McCord and Colleen McCabria, lCCCCl , Roselyn Saylor and Carol Barber lLLLl, Norma Sue Turner and Don Johns lMMHl, B. One of our outstand- ing talented Sophomores was Julia Evans, flute solo- ist, who entered in the Band Contest at Edmond. ln other subjects, Science, Geometry, Algebra, Art, Spanish, and Latin, there shall be many other Sophomores who shall compete with schools in this district. As we leave into the Junior class, we want to wish the coming Sophomores as wonderful year as we have had. Many opportunities are given the fifty students in play production to participate in plays. This year the department presented five three-act plays and seven one-act plays. The three-act plays presented were Mother ls a Freshman , Cheaper By the Dozen , Room No. 13 , Barter , and Our Hearts Were Young and Gay. Barter was the fifth annual Palm Sunday night play. This is the play pro- ductions contribution to the religious life of the community. As usual, the play was the outstanding event of the year.
