Basketball Under the direction of a new coach and with new talent the Conquerors entered into the 1971 season with anticipation, wondering what would be in store for Midwest posted its best season in the history of the school. In Waxahachie, Texas the Conquerors upset Southwestern of Texas who had not been beaten on their home court for three years. Dallas Christian and Ozark Bible colleges were vic- tims twice of the Conquerors, both teams had al- ways been trouble for Midwest in previous years, but the Conquerors strong defense and fast offense proved too much for their foes. The most impressive win came against El Reno Jr. College in which the Con- querors escaped with a two point win Q83-817 in the closing minutes. Midwest won twice in the Cookson Hills tournament and ended the season with an 8-6 record. UPPER: Sophomore Dan Cravatt, concentrated on C' ri the game, ready to go in and win. Choir The school year 1970-1971 was one of the finest the Midwest Christian College Choir has seen in a number of years. Its accomplishments were many and its influence far-reaching in the further- ment of the lord's work through Midwest Christian College.
