Administration, Faculty ..... Camp Stude us Life ............ nt Body .... Personalities ..... Organizations .... ndex The OUTREACH or influence of a per- son can not be viewed all at once. It does not occur at the instant of one's death, but rather, it is constructed moment by moment, hour by hour, and day by day, iust like life itself. As a swan causes ripples on a river one's outreach also causes changes, changes in other peoples lives. The influence of one's outreach often goes beyond the span ofa lifetime, thus effecting people for years to come. Even though as Christians we are one in body, spirit, hope, faith, and baptism our individual OUTREACH is as varied as our personalities are different from one another. Each of us possess our own unique tools that enable us to express the amazing grace of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. The important thing is not how many tools we possess, instead it is how we use these tools in our daily lives - in our OUTREACH. ' s Qs -4 , ' It ln 'AL ' 'TT' .iv f ! , lk iff f 'w... 0 -4 . n ,L,.. U I 'M . it xv., Q r -191 A full, complete life is not measured by years, but by purpose, deeds, and tears. One's purpose is the foundation of his thoughts and actionsg deeds are the tools of his OUTREACH: and tears are the mirrors of the heart. There is no worthier purpose than that of living for Jesusg no deed any greater than one done in Christ's nameg and no tears more justified than those shed for a lost soul or fallen brother. To have this complete life one must know Jesus Christ as his personal friend and savior.- It is a blessed thing when a young person realizes the love of God and lives her life in accordance with His will. When God directs the life of a beautiful and talented girl His name is glorified in a very special, youthful and happy way. There once lived a girl who knew Christ and gave her self to Him. It was this surrender of self that made and is still making her OUT- REACH an inspiration to other Christian young people. It is because of this inspiration that the 1971 Conqueror is dedicated to the OUTREACH of MISS EDNA RAE DAVIS. X .n ffiirt , 1:lfggrVf'H Administration, Faculty Outreach would be impossible without the hands with which to reach out. The administration and faculty at Midwest Christian College work prayerfully at the task of equipping the young Christian leaders enrolled here to extend their ministries. y The administration and faculty are the foundation upon which MCC is con- structed and their dedication to Christ can be seen in the careful management of our monies and the preparation and prayer that accompanies each class room experi- ence. Both in and out of the classroom the faculty members are promoting the cause of Christ and Midwest Christian Col- lege. Whether the faculty members are full time, part-time, or guest members for one semester, their ioy is our OUTREACH. They widen our horizons so that we might be able to teach others also and those rewards shall flow on like ripples on a stream forever. A Even during Christmas vacation President Davis is serving the Lord as he traveled to Albuquerque, New Mexico to attend the Youth In Christ Crusade. President Davis has interested listeners wherever he went. Q23 .. . Y it ,pf ! N x,4t 4 President and Mrs. Davis labored as missionaries in Japan for fourteen years. The president of a Bible College fills a number of positions. He is public relations man, adminis- trator, counselor, salesman, professor, husband, father, bread winner, friend, and most of all a man of God with an undying faith in Jesus Christ that is exemplified by his life of love for other Christians and for all mankind. Howard K. Davis has been filling these positions and more in a remarkable manner at Midwest Christian College since he be- came President in 1967. An able pilot, promoter, and preacher, President Davis holds the degree of from MCC, and a from Central State College ir1 Edmond, Oklahoma. Mission work in Japan and practical ministries ex- perience give him a broad background for under- standing the problems' which the Christian young people he directs will face. Dedicated to the task of training servants in God's kingdom, he daily seeks the lord's will in the guidance of the college. MCC has made great strides and has grown rapidly since President Davis has accepted the responsibility of leading her, but like him, we give God the glory. A familiar scene on weekends and sometimes during the week, President Davis relys on his Mooney to save him time and help him keep the many appointments he must make to raise support for MCC. mil H1135 in nw . rDean Woodrome discussed Midwest with prospective student Monty Winters. Warren Woodrorne directs students in the selection of their class schedules each semester. As academic dean of Midwest Christian College, in his cheerful and concise manner he also, makes sure that an adequate effort is made by the students in these classes. Besides his guidance responsibilities, Dean Wood- rome serves as professor of Greek, English, and New Testament Introduction. His scholarly approach to college courses and activities do not hamper his ability to communicate with his students, and his preaching reflects a rich and glowing relationship with I esus Christ. i, IV? 5 Dean Woodrome paused for a quick smile ,YW f l A- , S-1 - 1 1 - C '., As Dean of Students, Professor Mark was actively involved with campus life and stu- dent affairs. His work in the Kiamichis and in Japan qualified him well for the position he held as Professor of Missions. His college work, which includes a B. Th. from M.C. C and graduate study at Bethany Nazarene College and Central State University, pre- pared him for a teaching ministry at Mid- west. 'qui' , l Q' 1 Professor Eleanor Daniel was head of M.C.C. 's Christian Education Department. Under her leadership during the past four years the C. E. Department has undergone many improvements. Aside from her teach- ing responsibilities, Miss Daniel directed the drama team. She travelled every other weekend with the drama team and held numerous Christian Education Clinics throughout Oklahoma and Texas. Her edu- cation and experience include an A. B. from Lincoln Christian College, a M.A. from Lincoln Christian Seminary, a M. Ed. from the University of Illinois, doctoral study at Oklahoma State University, gradu- ate study at Central State University, and several teaching ministries before coming to Midwest in 1967. Professor Mike Duffy, a 1964 graduate of Mid- west, came to M.C.C. in 1968. He received an A.B, from Bethany Nazarene College. As head of the music department he directed the college choir, coordinated the music groups for the travelling teams and gave individual voice lessons. The qual- ity of the Music Department productions has steadily increased under his leadership. His interests were not only confined to music, however. Mr. Duffy was also Athletic Director and did all the scheduling of athletic events. Jon Evah Murray, known widely in the Oklahoma City area, has made numerous television. radio, and recording appearances. She has been instructing piano at M.C. C. since 1961. Her experience in the field of piano instruction is wide and her study in piano has been extensive. She recently received a Masters Degree in Music from the University of Okla- homa. Under the guidance of Professor of Music Mike Duffy, a new group, the Psallousi Singers, was organized. While one person's influence affects the lives of iust a few individuals another person's out- reach may affect the lives of thousands. As a Christian the extent of one's out- reach is not so important as the quality of his outreach. During the i970-7i school terms Midwest Christian College provided a Christ-like atmosphere enabling her stu- dents to develop their Christian lives, learn how to spread the Good News in the most effective ways. . . make their Outreach count for the Lord.
