For lam persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. xD WE CHRISTIAN C0llEGE er? CB- Q, 41,95 me M91 7'Eu7a78, 0, ll Mr. Warren Woodrome, Professor of Languages, Acting Academic Dean, and Dean of Students, constantly holds before us the example of one who not only teaches the love of Christ, but practices it. His concern for the welfare of others and his ded- ication to Christ and His kingdom are clearly seen in his long hours of faithful and tireless service. For all this and much more, we gratefully thank Mr. Woodrome, as we dedicate the 1967 CONQUEROR to him. A. B. and M. A. degrees from Midwest Christian College. M. C. C. - i962 'irifffir The words growth and life must always go together. He who stops growing be to die. Growth is a necessary phase of the Christian life. Becoming a Christian is comp in the Scriptures with being born again. Becoming a Christian, therefore, is only a be ing. Peter calls new Christians newborn babies and urges them to drink from the p milk of the word. fl Peter l:23-2:25 This idea of growth is carried Further by Paul in letter to the Ephesians. There he urges that Christians not continue to live as children are swept here and there by every wind of doctrine that comes along. Rather, they sh grow to maturity in all things. flfphesians 4:l3-lo, And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature and intavor with God and man. fLuke 2 We are to be imitators of God and Christ. Have this mind in you , which was al 1, . .. ,, .. 4 .4 r sz , It .y , ,y: . A, , ist Jesus: who, ,existing in the form of God, counted not the being on an equality with d a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form ot a servant, being made he likeness of men, and being Found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, becoming dient even unto death, yea, the DEATH OF THE CROSS. fphilippians 2:5-85 Thus, Christian's goal is to reflect Christ's likeness in his lite. Jesus is the standard used to ermine the Christian's progress toward letting his manner ot lite be worthy ot the gospel hrist. fphilippians l:27D lt is the desire at the T967 CONQUEROR statt to accurately record in the pages ot this pk an account of this year's growth and development on the part of Midwest Christian lege, her students and faculty. QW E, F121 . gl Increa ed ln Wisdom Stature Christians must be well-rounded people. Jesus himself set the exam- ple for growth in all areas of the personality. In order for a Christian to be able to live and work to the best of his ability for Christ, he must know how to get along in all areas of his life. This is the reason MCC tries to develop a person not only spiritually, but physically, mental- ly, and socially also. We feel our program here at MCC is geared to turn out a well-rounded Christian worker. i 1 5 -:'gjs'fr Qty sl X v 8 5 A J - -1 .v- - V V N:-. V IP? , 35V V, VV..::, V I I D , - . f . , Z.
