PANTHERS RAMBLE TO 7-6 VICTORY OVER BLACK CATS A strong second-half defensive effort carried the Midway Panthers to a 7- 6 victory over the Mexia Black Cats. The Panthers scored first when Kirk Lane rambled into the end zone from seven yards out on the opening play of the second quarter. Russell Boeck kicked the extra point and Midway owned a 7-0 lead.
