Some ofyou were members of the first grade the year the Midway Indepen- dent School District opened its doors for the first time. Some have joined your group, and some have dropped by the way, but may I say to all of you that it has beena real pleasure having hadthe opportunity to know you and to work with you. I have watched your school life with keen interest, and I am happy to say that your interest and cooperation has been excellent as a class group. lt isa big step from high school to college or to whatever vocation you may follow. I hope your knowledge is great enough to help you make this step. One of the most important things for you to know and re member is that little is achieved by yourself. The thing that is most important for an individual to learn is to place proper value on his church, his community, his parents, and his friends.
