PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE Glancing back over the many years, one envisions many footprints left in the soil of Doniphan County by the students of Midway High School. Some merely shuffled aimlessly, losing themselves in a whirl of confu- sion, while others confidently moved forward toward a bright future. This maze of intermingled footprints tells a story of the lives of people — their dreams and aspirations, their successes and failures, their joys and sorrows and abiding friendships. Shifting Kansas winds may cancel out the traces of these footprints, but nothing can erase the memories of Midway High. To the class of 1979, I say thanks and congratulations, and I hope you remain as interested in Midway High as you are at this moment. Herb Hawkins
