It was the time of the year to throw your blue jeans and tee shirt aside and get yourself all fancied up for your favorite guy or girl. This year’s prom “This One’s For You” took place on April 30, 1977 at Wagner’s Country Inn in Westlake. Social hour began at 7:00 pm and lasted until 7:45. Dinner was served from 7:45 to 9:00 pm. The menu consisted of: Country Inn Baked Chicken with Dressing, Baked Ham, Roast Beef Au Jus, Scalloped Pota- toes, Corn, Assorted Relishes, Salad Bar, Wagner’s Yellow Cake and Beverages. After dinner, those who attended danced to the music of “Islands.” Graduation The Senior Class On June 7, 1977 the senior class of Midview High School graduated 277 seniors led by valedicto- rian Karen Lucas and salutatorian Julie Peter. Stu- dent speakers at graduation were Mike Leal, Julie Smith, and Gail Johnson. The class gift, presented by president Anne Beltz, was a sign for the new high school located at the site of the present junior high school. The baccalaureate address was given by Rev. J. R. Waddles, who spoke on the theme, “The Fu- ture Is Yours. The combined Midview High School choir and band provided music for the occasion. Each senior girl carried a white rose, the class flower. The rather cool temperatures did little to dampen the enthusiasm of both spectators and par- ticipants. of 1977 • • • Do You Know Where 172 Senior Index ADAIR, RICHARD Football 1: Wrestling 1; Track 1; Baseball 3; Intramur- als 1,2; Teacher Aide 4; ALLEN, KARENA Cross Country 1; Choir 1,2,3,4; Madrigals 1 ALLEN.PAUL ALLEN, RHELDA Teacher Aide 2,3,4; Bowling 1,2,3,4 ANDERSON, JAMES Library Aide 1,2,3,4; Choir 1; Thespians 2; Bowling 1,2,3,4 ANDF.RSON, RICHARD ARNOLD, CHERYL Track 1,2,3,4; Teacher Aide 2,3,4; French Club 3,4; Y-Teens 3,4; F.H.A. 1; Thespians 3,4; Tutor 3; Ski Club 3,4; Class Repre- sentative 3.4 BAILEY, JEFFREY BAKER, CHRISTINE Choir 1; Log 4; First Mate Staff 3,4; P.A.
