Introduction Hi! My name is Mike the Middie, and I'm going to iourney with you, Senior Class of l957, back over your Voyage Through School. lt has been a most exciting adventure, ever since the day you stepped aboard that launch, called first-grade, and headed for the bigger ship-high school. There has been stormy weather, of course, but there have been times when you've had very smooth sailing, too. These are the times to remember! After eight years of grade school you boarded that boat you had longed for, but then came an order from Operations that a new and better ship must be built. Remember the anticipation and anxiety you felt? Remember when you would go past the yards on Capel Road to watch the construction of that new liner- Midview High School? Then, that September l4,l955, when you stepped aboard that good ship, Midview, and began exploring your home on the high seas, and meeting many new people who have become your fellow crewmen and close friends. By now you all have had manv happy times. For instance, we will wager you will remember the dedication of your new school, those football and bas- ketball games land especially those two trophies that were the first to be put in the trophy casel the dances, concerts, shop classes, club meetings-for a long time. The big day, however, was May 23, when you received the documents pro- claiming your voyage to be a success. Now, shall we shove off? Anchors Away! 4 P
