. .. Q v..,,.sf'f' 'Y o .A This past school year has been for all of us one of adjustment and new experiences. Several schools have been consolidated to form one: Midview High School. The task of consolidating these schools has not been easy for school board, community, students, or teachers. At times, circumstances of an almost insurmountable nature arose. But, all in all, things have gone well, and the transition has been a happy one. After coming from small, less fortunately equipped schools, all were really thrilled to find themselves in a building with such wonderful facilities, broader curric- ulum, and expanded faculty. We Seniors of 1956 leave with the sincere hope that those who follow will carry on well to make Midview High School grow praiseworthy and strong. We have, in a sense, contributed to the beginnings oflegend, tradi- tion, and actual achievement, which with the passage of years will contribute to the wealth to be derived from Midview High School. The following pages contain in pictorial resume the achieve ments of this the first year of our now beloved Midview High School. 2

We would also like to thank the businessmen of this entire Elyria area, for their interested response to our appeals for their assistance, through which it was possible for us to publish this, our first yearbook. By equipping us with a new, up-to-date school. you, the members of our community, have given all of us students a greater opportunity to progress in our studies, and to become better citizens. We shall strive to keep Midview High School tops in the community, first in Lorain County, and among the best schools in the entire State of Ohio. 3
