.L of Senior Class History :'n.f' +3 W 'hx Y J ' Z On September 7, 19514, fifteen Freshmen entered the halls of Midvale High School for the first time. In this group was Judy Glasacock, Molly Clelland, Violet Roberts, Bertha Jacks, Larry Hornlng, Galen Preston, Galen Lewis, Milford Potter, Gary Garner, David Williams, Jay Williams, Victor Craig, Kent Craig, Bob Finke, and Jack Taylor. Initiation, the return party, movies, a candy machlne, and a birthday party highlighted the year. David Willi ms moved to Rigglns. Starting our Sophomore year, we had fourteen members. Laurence Bruce came at the end of the first semester and Kaye Anderson joined us early in the spring to make a class of sixteen at the end of the year. He chose Mr. Willis Rea as class advisor. We had several parties during the year. Our Junior year started with a class of seventeen. Donald Fuchs and Maxine Hillia s helped swell the crowd for a while. However, after a few weeks Donald, Laurence Bruce, and Jay Williams quit school to work, and Maxine quit to get married, leaving only thirteen members to finish out the year. The first event was Fresh an initiation and Bonfire followed by a Thanksgiving Sock-hop for the entire school which was a great success. All through March we toiled and on the 22nd of March were rewarded with an excellent performance of 'Look Out L1zz1e,' directed by Mrs. Benain, Class Advisor. Then to top it all off, we gave the Seniors a nice Junior-Senior Prom and Banquet on May M, with 'Young Loven as the theme. This, our last year has been full of interesting things. Elenore and Hill Atkinson joined us from Boise and Mrs. Benain reeu ed duties as Advisor. First, we helped initiate the Freshmen. Then on November 22, we put on the Senior play entitled 'Pleased ta Meetcha.' This Spring, all the Seniors had a grand time on the Sneak and the Juniors gave us a lovely Pram and Banquet, using 'Moments to Remember' as the theme. The Senior Class chose turquoise and black as the class colors and the carnatlon as class flower. Our motto, 'Push, pull, or get out of the way' is quite appropriate for our class. On May 23, fifteen happy Seniors will march up the isle to receive diplomas and go out into the world to become citizens of this great country.
