t 'K SOPHOMORE CLASS HISTORY On September 4, 1956, our red and white magic carpet landed at Midvale High School with Mr. Miller, our genie, guiding 65 of us into our first year of high school. We elected class officers as follows: President-Ward Myersg Vice-President-Steve Reiserg Secretary -Helen Krockerg Treasurer-Larry Hodkinsong Class Representative-Don McCartney. Our motto: We Aqre the Future. Our flower was the Reid Carnation. Linda Anderson was the lucky girl to be elected Freshman class leader. Carol Goudy another lucky one, being chosen Football Homecoming Queen attendant. This basketball season brought the first Freshman Basketball team. On September 3, 1957, our read and white carpet made a reappearance at HH.S. as Sophomores with Mrs. Stevenson as our genie. We are sorr-y to say that only 54 of the original 65 were with us. Our class oificers for the Sophomore year were: Bill Skelly-Presidentg John Everett -Vice Presidentg Carol Goudy-Secretaryg Steve Reiser-Treasurerg Dale Stansbury- Class Representative. Louise Clerici represented our class as football and basketball cheerleader. On the exciting eve of October 18, Joyce Page reigned as the Sophomore attendant at the Homecoming Game.
