JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY On September 6, 1955, our iieet of solid gold Cadillacs winded their way into Midvale School. The HISI: Cadillac carried our advisor, Mr. Beaber. There were 59 of us to begin our career of four years of high school. We were given the name FreshQmen. The first thing we did was to elect olficers. They were: President-Dave Belknap, Vice-President-Roy Bran- nan, :Secretary-Dianne Belknap, Treasurer-Judy Dupler, Class Representative-Donald Monte. We then selected our motto which was Hard Work Is the Foundation to Success. Our class flower: white carnationg class colors: blue and white. The whole class was very proud of the cheerleaders elected from our class-Mary Varally and Sandra Penick. Another lucky girl was Carolyn Dillon who was chosen to be Freshman queen attendant. The boys didn't take a back seat either! They turned out in large numbers for all sports and proved to be very good! We held a Freshman-Junior party which was one of the best ever seen by M. H. S. In the fall of 1956 we again climbed in our fleet of gold Cadillacs with Mr. Beaber back as our advisor. We elected officers for this wonderful year and they were: President-Gary Carrothersg Vice President- Richard Mackeyg Secretary-Judy Duplerg Treasurer- Mary Varallyg Class Representative-Dave Belknap. We were very surprised when the roll was called to iind that our class. had lost 6 students, leaving 53 of us to carry on as Sophomores. Cheerleaders were elected and we were proud of the one from our class: Mary Varally. She was also elected to be the Sophomore queen attendant at the home-coming game. The bo s again were outstand- ing in sports. The usual Soplllomore-Senior party was held and enjoyed immensely! Students chosen to be on the Honor Society were: Diane Belknap, Judy Dupler, Nancy Hobart, and Gary Carrothers. , With a fleet of '57 Cadillacs we entered our third year of high school on September 3, 1957. This year we were given the name Juniors, This year we had- much to look forward to. Such as thc Junior-Senior Prom, all selling privileges, receiving our class rings, and many other exciting things. First of all we elected officers. They are: President -Richard Mackeyg VicefPresident-Tom Krockerg Secretary-Linda Carlisle, Treasurer-Diane Belknap, Class Representative-Larry Reichman. The cheerleaders from our class are: Linda Carlisle, Mary Varally, Judy Dupler and Sandra Penick. The boys are also doing very well in sports. Queen at- tendant was Diane Belknap. We have one more year of high school and we're.going to make the best of it! We don't see how any year could be more wonderful than this one, but we'll have to wait and seeg Compliments of Harry Humphries Ford, 161 South Broadway, New Philadelphia, Ohio 28
