We held another dance and ended the year with a class picnic at Forest Hill Park. As sophomores we felt very important but we were still overshadowed by the juniors ,f- and seniors Mr Lyles was our sponsor and Thurman Hams our class presrdent We had a record hop whrch was a brg success and clrmaxed the year wrth our annual prcnrc We all agreed that our Junror year was one we would never forget Mrss S11cox was our class sponsor and Johnny M11ls our class presrdent Thrs was the wonderful year IH whlch we gave our Jumor Semor Prom The theme of thrs was S811 Along Sllvery Moon It took a lot of hard work but rr was well worth rt Thrs fall mt was hard to belreve that we were frnally senrors We were the frrst semor class to be rn the new hrgh school burldrng and the frrst to graduate from rt W started at once on our Annual, workmg franucally to meet our deadlrnes The Senror Play was a brg success Everyone felt we had come a long way from the shy erghth graders we had been f1ve years before, but we could see a long road ahead They are playrng the musrc now As we go to recerve our drplomas all of us w1l1 remember the wonderful years we have spent at our Alma Mater Mrdlothran Hrgh I thmk my semor prctures are goodl Look, Mom, no motor!
