From Hiram Scott College, Watchorn enlisted Ken Fischer as assistant coach. Two new Interterm courses were of- fered this year. One was Outdoor Winter Recreation and the other Rec- reation Practicum. In the first class, students learned the basics of winter sports like snow skiing then spent a week in Estes Park, Colorado, trying out their new skills. I n the latter class, students learned how to organize, su- pervise and evaluate recreation pro- grams. 64
