CLASS PROPHIECY Orman First Man on Moon Sergeant Dean Orman, one of Midland High graduates has brought fame to his school by being the first man on the moon, Sergeant Orman blasted off from Vicksburg Air Base because Colonel Jesse Ellis ac- cidentally stumped histoe on the button. Fortunately, Ellis fell into themissile with Orman. lt is not known when or how they will return. Heavy Weight Champion Trainer Retires from Active Duty Heavy weight champion of the world, Wilma Wogoman, retires from ring. She plans starting a training center for under- sized, weakling men. Minister Returns from Far East Rev. Charles Klein, a well-known Bap- tist minister, has just returned from Tibet, where he was teach ing and preach ing to the natives. He has brought back three or four orphan children. Mr. Avery Hays Stabbed Mr. Avery Hays was admitted to the Mid- land Medical Memorial Hospital today, aft- er his wife, the former Deanna Mears, stabbed him in a quarrel about mother-in- law. His condition is listed as serious. Possum Hollow Fiddlers Marianne Humphreys and her Possum Hollow Fiddlers, featuring Linda Miller playing the sweetest washboard this side of Lattis Creek, are booked for a month's run in Ma Brady's Corner Store. I, Deanna Mears, will my ability as cheerleader to Nancy Hays, and my ability to get the class into mischief to Patty Jackson. I, Sharon Dickey, will my ability to be Senior cheerleader to Linda Tipton, and my ability to be Student Council President to Jimmy Hickman. We will to the Future Sophomores, the ability to have good times as we had at ball games and school activities. We will to the Future Freshmen, the ability to be a part of the high school and be as successful as we were. The Seniors Boys will to the Junior Boys, the ability of being expert barbers. The Senior Girls will to the Junior Girls, the ability to go steady with handsome boys. We will, to all the Underclassmen, the ability to never be called into the office, to be kind to the teachers, and to be friendly and considerate of all students. h To the Faculty, we give blessed relief from attempting to teach us things we had no desire to know. May they realize that they accomplished more than they thought they did and that, as we leave MIDLAND HIGH SCHOOL, we are truly grateful for all their patient efforts. I This, is the last will and testament of the class of 1961-62. A copy of this document will be duly filed in the safe in Principal Vosloh's office, to be kept there until such time as there is need to refer to its contents. It will be signed by officials ofthe class of1962, and due warning is hereby given that any attempt to break this will or change the provisions thereof will result disastrously.
