After losing some very close games to Bay City Central and Alpena, the Blue and Gold spanked Owosso. After dropping the B. C. Handy game, the Chemics came back to take four straight from Saginaw, Grand Rapids Creston, Hamtramck, and Grand Rapids Central. After a week's layoff, the team came back to make Saginaw Arthur Hill fight to take a l3-7 victory. For the fourth straight year, Midland placed a man on the All-State team. This year's top man was Dave Ward who placed at right end. Dick Tucker was elected Honorary Captain at the annual banquet and Larry Hockemeyer was chosen the outstanding player of the year. We have worked hard to make it not iust another yearbook but a real record of what happened during the year, a record that you will find yourself referring to all through your life and that will bring back memories of friendships and traditions that you have forgotten. lf it should do one of these things, our time and effort will not have been wasted.
