In a bold departure from the past, Mr. Meyer presented three one - act plays this year. The plays were all comedies and the audience enjoyed them in a cof- fee house setting complete with coffee, punch, and cookies. HNot Enough Ropen concerned a girl looking for attention: she sought that attention by pretending to commit suicide. HSuppressed Desiresu dealt with a wife who was blinded by her own research into the workings of the subconscious mind. Trying to get Mimsy out of the bathroom to be married was the conflict in the third act of HPlaza Suite.H UPPER RIGHT: Roxanne Bickelhaupt, Diane DeLarm, and Curtis Reid are the cast members from HNot Enough Rope.H ABOVE: Curt Tholen, Pat Westphal, and Susanne Ahrendsen play their roles in HSuppres- sed Desires.H RIGHT: nPlaza Suiteu had Bruce Bearinger, Lisa Meade, Mickie Switzer, and John Hamann for its occu- pants for the third act of Neil Simon's play.
