Better Knuuln Frank .. . The senior class was proud to graduate an Uextrau member this year. Known to most as Frank, she was our foreign exchange student from Suederbrarup, West Germany, Franziska Lueders. Frank arrived ln the Midland community August 12, and her stay was hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Marvln Brun- scheen and their daughter Ellen. while here, Frank has taken full advantage of her tlme and been ln many school activities. She was a singerldancer ln HLi'l Abner,H and y found it a quite new experience. Especially, she L had trouble figuring out southern expressions like, Uy'allH---people just don't talk that way! Another new experience for her was being on the golf team. In Germany one must be a member of a private club to play, so she took the opportunity to im- prove her game. Frank sang ln mixed chorus, was a member of S.E.S., was a cheerleader for wrestling, and because of her academic prowess, was chosen as an honorary member of the National Honor Society. Upon her return to Germany, Frank will have two more years of high school after which she says she'll hopefully graduate. when asked to recap her year, she said lt was a good experlence she would dupli- cate any time, she was able to meet a lot of people, and especially, she was able to learn a great deal about herself. Frank wishes to extend a Big Thank You to K everyone for making her year enjoyable. f 'vw Mr. Lust summed up Mldland's feelings by saying that perhaps Franzlska gave us more than we could give her. We at Midland, faculty, administrators, and students would like to thank Franzlska, and wish her contin- ued success.
