Ross 1963-1978 “Remember me when I am gone away, Gone far away into the silent land; When you can no more hold me by the hand, Remember me when no more day by day. You tell me of our future that you planned; Only remember: you understand It will be late to counsel then or pray. Yet if you should forget me for awhile And afterwards remember, do not grieve: For if the thoughts that once I had, Better by far you should forget and smile Than that you should remember and be sad. ” In Memory Ham a Mohr Jr. 1960-1978 “Our hearts weep for what we have lost, the spirit content for what it has found. ” “on this earth there is a oneness a rhythmic flow of life through everything that lives each thing must seek and each is sought for each has a birth a purpose to fulfill to each an end and then — a new beginning” eight Midlakes Fox-ES!!! Bidleman As the curtain lowers on the last act of our high school career, we, the Class of 1979 acknowledge the patience, time, guidance, and understanding given to us by our former principal. To Mr. George D. Bidleman, we say Thank you” for helping us to make our high school years successful. If we seemed unappreciative at the time, we realize now that without your leadership and worthwhile opinions, our days at Midlakes High School could never have been so meaningful. fourteen Welcome to Mr. Herbert A. Torrington Only a short time has passed since that brisk day last fall when word of his selection reached the students of Midlakes. Mr. Herbert A. Torrington, who we all clamored to know. What was Midlakes new principal like? What changes would he bring? It wasn’t long before we started getting answers. In a few short months, Mr. Torrington has infused the main office with a new warmth and a new openness. Looking around, he seems to be everywhere: meeting with students between classes, attending concerts, cheering at sports activities, even getting in on a good joke. Everywhere he goes, Mr. Torrington is always probing, questioning, trying to understand Midlakes High School. Mr. Torrington’s selection marks the start of a new period in Midlakes’ proud history. We, the student body of Midlakes, extend our sincerest wishes to Mr. Torrington for a long and successful tenure at Midlakes. fifteen Administration Mr. Herbert A.
