X x LEWIS BLOOD Teacher- Chemist 'UM Jmbmfe Olfll' 6004 . . - In years to come, when we recall happy ex ents of our school days in Middletown 'liownship Iligh School, one teacher will surely he a part of those happy memories. lle will appear as wc knew him . . . an elf-like bundle of smiles, unique lnunor and good will. More than that, our thoughts will he of someone who was endowed with a true sense of justice, sincerity, naturalness and modesty. We will remember, perhaps, a depressing day when his happy face chased away our hlues or his quietly spoken words that spurred us on alter a failure. As our memories deepen. we will go hack in re- trospect to other thoughts of him . . . sparkling blue eyes, adroit and powerful hands, unhelieyahle patience, an easy-going, gentle manner. While still young in spirit after teaching at Mid- dletown Township High School for thirty-two years, Lewis Blood decided to retire from tl1e yo- cation of teaching he loved so well. To you, Mr. Blood, wc, the class of 1956, respect- fully dedicate this yearbook. Vie hope you will derive pleasure from the knowledge that you have set us a wonderful and inspiring example. We will always hold you in our highest esteem and affection. Xou have won a lasting place in the hearts of all of us. v--M DR. WYLIE G.
