TOP - Sam Andreades and Liz Young lead a rather large cast in Music Man during one of the crucial scenes involving almost everyone. BOT- TOM - Nothing pleases an actor or actress more than playing to the smiling faces of hundreds of children. This was the scene shortly before the beginning of South's Children's Theatre. Hi Diddle-dee-dee, an actor's life for mel - Walt Disney o the beat of the band, South's ac- tors marched tnumphantly through the gala production of Music Man . This charming musical set in a quaint mid-Western town in the early 1900's was vividly brought to life by director Laine Sutton and a cast of fine actors and actresses. An additionally fine job was done by the many people working on the lighting, make-up, and costume designers. South's pit band accom- panied the play with rhythm and spunk . Another form of theatre arts at South was the light and whimsical Childrens' Theatre . The acting was superb in the presentation of Hansel and Gretel . Those students not involved in the play entertained the elementary students as clowns before and after the perfor- mance. OPPOSITE PAGE - TOP - Patience and diligence used by the make-up staff involved in all theatre arts. BOTTOM LEFT - Final touches of age being placed on Tim Paradiso before Music Man . TOP LEFT - Often times students cannot provide all of the acting necessary for a major production. BOTTOM LET-'I' - Personally meeting a clown will surely be placed as one of life's fonder memories.
