Being able to play at Navesink Country Club was the greatest thing that hap- pened to this team. - Dave Abdella ith a new home established overlooking the Navesink River, the Eagle Golf Team efforts flourished as they never had in previous seasons. The only obstacle between South and an undefeated season were four match points over the entire season. Placing first in the Shore Conference playoffs and second in the Monmouth County Toumament were certainly the highlights of the season. South also had the experience of finishing eighth in the district team tournament for State honors. With an environment conducive to winning, Middletown South established itself as a dominant Golf power in the shore area. TOP RIGHT - Meditation and concentration is part of the art of golf .
