CABINET The Cabinet has done a splendid job enforcing the rules and regulations of Middletown High School. This organiza- tion helps to enforce all the laws passed by the student governpnent, helps keep the school clean, and keeps record of student government finances. The group was under the capable leader- ship of Robert Piasecki, president; Paul D'orio, secretary of interior; Theodore Santostefano, secretary of finance; David Tucker, police chief; Sebastian Amara, chief justice; Fred Litka, fire chief, Rom- ona Plumley, secretary of publicity; Con- nie Perruccio, representing the Girls’ Stu- dent League; and Jane Ribera, representing the Girls’ Athletic Association. FIRE SQUAD When the fire alarm is sounded, Chief Fred Litka and his alert members of the Fire Squad hasten to their assigned posts, directing students and checking classrooms and other parts of the building. Under the supervision of Mr. C. V. Johnson, the squad is taught the importance of clearing the building in the shortest time possible and with the least confusion. This year for the first time since the squad was organized girls were allowed to join. Because of the co-operation and interest taken by its members, the Fire Squad has become one of the most important and efficient functions of the school.
