BOYS C-YMNASTICS This years gymnastics team was lead by its four returning seniors. Co-Captain john Pappas, the senior all around performer, not only held his own in the all around com- petition, but also qualified for the 1977 Central B and South Sectional meet in vaulting and free exercise. Co- Captain Scott Arminas did a fine job on the side horse man, while Tony Anania excelled on the parallel bars. The bulk of the team is composed of many talented under- classmen, who will most definetly lead the Lions gymnas- tics team to victory in the next few years. The gymnastics team success cannot be measured by its record of 1-9. lt can only be measured by the drive and dedication that was evident under difficult circumstances. 1 G IRLS GYM ASTICS The Girls Gymnastic team finished the season with a non- conference record of 6-4 and a conference record of 7-3. Although the team lost to Middletown South, they achieved their highest total team score of 84 at that meet. Team Captain Darlene Fisler and junior Donna Donovan advanced to the Shore Conference and State sectionals. Almost all members are returning next year, therefore team coach, Mrs. Babcock, will be looking forward to a strong team. Coach loanne Babcock june VanDriel as ' Nicole D'Anthony lifting her spirits.
