NORTH CAGERS LOOK IMPRESSIVE DESPITE LOSING SEASON This year's Middletown North basketball team had a disappointing season, however, twelve of their losses were within a spread of six points. Consequently they played much better than their record indicates, and they finished third in the A division in defense. This was Middletown North's first basketball season and Coach McCall did a tremendous job in putting the team together. Without his extreme dedication they would not have done as well as they did. With the help of Captain john Begley the team ran smoothly. Bill Schulz and Brian O'Neill joined john in becoming the first members of the 1000 pt. club. The other seniors on the team were Pete Bugni and Ron Butka. GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM HAS A SUCCESSFUL SEASON Varsity Coach Jeanne Ciaramelli and 1. V. Coach Vicki Roberts are proud of their resepctive teams and how they performed this season. The combination of hard work, team spirit and excellent coaching was the key to their success. Led by their co-captains, Nancy Engemann and Bonnie O'Connor, the girls worked together and played as a team.
