Swimming The Swim Team began with 4 wins in a row and then lost 2 in six lane pools due to lack of depth. The Team lost Walter Lynch, midway through the season, and ended up with a 5-6 record for the year. The win-loss record does not show the fact that Dave Ellison, Frank Heter, Doug Porto, Marshall Cline, and Walter Lynch kept the rec- ords falling in almost every meet. School and pool records were broken and rebroken 35 times throughout the Middie swim season. Next year will be a rebuilding year for the Middie mermen with only five returning lettermen, and the adjustment to their new 25 yard pool. Coach Ed Morgan is also expecting to start a Girl's Varsity Team with a separate season, and four returning girl letterwomen from the boy's team.
