3 if X irn . -,ir -se-if 4 ' . A i Aw This year's Varsity Football team finished with a disappointing record of four wins and five losses. The season could be divided in half. In the first half, the team went 0-4, but stuck together to win the next four out of five. The loss in the season's second half, to league-champion Port Jervis, snapped a three game winning streak. Once again, the Middies bounced back to defeat Cornwall in the Homecoming game by a score of 22-13. The highlight of the year was at Highland Falls where in the pouring rain the Middies pulled together to drown a late rally and win 14-13. Among the outstanding seniors were: team captain tackle Gary Seekamp, halfback Rod Whitby, fullback and linebacker Walt Deisseroth, defensive tackle Mark Gliemi, guards George Morace and Ed Mor- rone, center Ken Munro, offensive guard tackle Ken Ritter, and end Kerry Finn.
