The club is guided by Mr. Guertin. Dow. Richard Dana. BEAUTY CLUB HE Beauty Club, advised by Miss Iiorbes, attempts to help its members improve their personal appear- ance. Highlights of the past year were a Christmas party and a visit from Miss ,lacqueline Hale of the Prim Company. who demonstrated how to make and cover belts and buttons and use them as atcessories. LE CERCLE ERANCAIS HE purpose of Le Cercle Francais is to bring to its members a clearer understanding of France, its cus- toms, and its people. Under the leadership of Mrs. Woodruff, the club engages in charitable work, sponsors a dance, and holds cookie and holly sales. The spring trip to New York. complete with dinner at a French restaurant. is the years highlight. SCIENCE CLUB HE Science Club is intended to foster interest and active work in scientitic fields among those students considering a career in science or engineering. The club sponsors the Moon Award for original research in science and is completing a twelve-inch reflecting tele- scope on the roof of the school. IU ICR CLASSICAL LEAGUE HE junior Classical League, the school's largest club. is open to all Latin students who have ad- vanced beyond the first year. Members pledge them- selves to keep alive in the modern world the vast treasures handed down from the classical civilizations. Under the guidance of Miss Hill, the club engages in charitable work and other activities, culminating in a gala banquet in the authentic Roman manner. s.P.Q.R. P.Q.R., under the sponsorship of Mrs. Hultslander. , is open to all Latin l students. This club, which meets during the regular club period, plays part in encouraging its members to enjoy Latin and increasing their knowledge ol- Roman civilization.
