Parades and Floats The floats are a big part of spirit week. At the begining of every school year everyone works hard trying to make the Homecoming parade and floats the best that they can be. This year was no exception. The floats were great and the band and club marchers were in top form. This year the seniors, juniors, sophomores, freshmen, FFA, SADD, ROTC and the faculty were represented in the parade. The freshmen class took first place in the float competition, with the faculty in second and the sophomores third. '8 Middletown High School Cavalier

80 Homecoming It was a special night that we will all remember. The Homecoming ceremony is the result of a week’s worth of dressing up and participating in pep rallies and the spirit days. Homecoming was a very special night for the Homecoming Queen, JoAnna Smith. JoAnna has been on the court in her freshmen, sophomore, and senior years, and Curt Manlove has been her escort for each of those years. At MHS, JoAnna has been involved in many athletic activities, such as volleyball, basketball, and softball. Unfortunately, there was no Homecoming Dance after the football game this year, but the ceremony and the game still provided a night for all to remember.
