Guidance and Special Staff They schedule us, get us into college, and much more! When we have a problem, the Guidance Office is often one of the first places we go. Seniors especially spend a lot of time working with the guidance counselors. Mrs. Fletcher and Mr. Peacock work very hard to get our seniors into college, and sometimes they seem to work even harder than the seniors themselves. Often seniors can be seen trying to sneak past the Guidance Office door because they have a scholarship application which is late and they know that they’ll get hassled about it if they get caught. Still, it’s hard to get really mad at someone who’s trying to help you get money for college. Cafeteria Custodial Staffs They keep us well fed and warm. There are some very important people in the school whose work we don’t even notice when they do it, but we would sure notice if they stopped! The cafeteria staff starts to work before some of us are even out of bed in order to make us a healthy breakfast, break snack and lunch every day. Some of the custodial staff also go to work early in the morning, making sure that the school is ready for the day. Then when we’re leaving, others are just coming to work to get the school ready for the next day. Without them all, MHS would be a much less pleasant place to be.
