About The Class of ’91 When will it end? Being in a new school with everything being different can make you feel uncomfortable, and maybe even feel alone. For the Class of '91 this was the experience of many of the students when the school year began. The Class of ’91 has put forth great effort into their first year of high school, and has proven the level of their spirit, competetion, and enthusiasm. This class has been through the “torment” of the upperclassmen and has survived, and at last the Class of ’91 is beginning to feel more comfortable and to make themselves an important part of their new school. Homework Again... The never-ending story! The final bell of the day rings, and freshmen scatter here and there gathering all the homework information and books they will need for the night. Although some of them get sidetracked by friends and “the latest,” when reality finally hits they realize that once again there’s homework to be done, and when there’s homework there’s sure to be someone either at home or at school nagging at you and imploring you to complete your assignments. So if you’re the type that gets sidetracked, or that just plain forgets, just remember: there’s homework again, and again, and there always will be homework until someone comes up with an even more time-consuming, “fun-filled” way to spend your evening constructively. Sometimes the freshmen probably wonder if this nightmare will ever end-maybe there will always be someone nagging, looking over your shoulder, watching every move you make and everything you do-but on the other hand where would we be without people who really care and who are interested in what we are creating? To freshmen everything can seem new, but everything they learn will also have some use, and every new technique which they put to use will help them in the long run. That is one of the first painful lessons of high school. 56 Middletown High School Cavalier
