The New Style... Searching for something better! Ever get bored and wonder what else there is to do? “Maybe it could be better,” you say to yourself. Searching for that something better could be the answer to your boredom. The new generation which is moving up will have to make some important changes. Different types and styles of things are entering our lives every day. Over the years styles and opinions will continue to change, and these changes will determine how our future will be. Creating these styles will put a new outlook on things that may be very different from that of past generations, maybe with girls asking guys out half of the time, or girls paying for dates. More serious problems such as AIDS and drug abuse in our society will change some of the younger generation’s personal styles. No one can really say whether these changes will be for the best or if they will just be sources of danger to the younger generation, but nevertheless these changes cannot be prevented. So if you’re bored and don’t know what to do with yourself, try working on solving some of the problems that our generation will have to face. Try to find a new style for the future. That should keep you busy! 48 Middletown High School Cavalier

The Little People Are they really that different? Did you ever wake up and say to yourself, “Why me?” Well, consider “the little people.” Surely you can remember being one of the little people, wandering around, worrying about how you look, and what other people are saying or thinking about you. This year it’s the same old story. The Class of ’91 entered the high school with high spirits, but they still looked bewildered and astonished at how this school works. They had gotten used to the same old Redding routines, but here at the high school it just wasn’t the same. Picking on the freshmen has been traditional, and for upperclassmen it somehow just seems natural. Maybe the older students do judge them just a little too hard, (all in fun, of course) but nevertheless, “little people” have feelings and emotions, and maybe the upperclassmen are being unfair. As a class, they take it well, and all in all, with all they put up with, the Class of ’91 is A- OKAY!
