If At First You Don’t Succeed... Try, try again! Since the beginning of the 1986- 87 school year the Class of 1990 has been working on finding ways to enjoy their remaining years in high school. With only two years left, the Class of ’90 is ready to go. Working on fund raisers and class floats are two of the best ways they have found to have fun as a class, and even though they have not placed first in any of their attempts so far, that will not stop the sophomores from trying again. Taking the time and effort to put everything they have into making something of the Class of 1990 seems to be the class policy. With the two years they still have left at MHS, they will undoubtedly overcome the hard times which they may have ahead as a class, and they will manage to cope with the inevitable changes in the school rules and curriculum and in the requirements for graduation. If their first attempts do not succeed, they will try again and again. When the time finally comes for them to finish their Senior year, they surely will have reached their goals and conquered all obstacles. In their first two years at MHS the Class of 1990 has faced the typical problems of entering high school, and in their next two years they will move beyond those problems and show what a great class they can be. The Danger Zone Driving somewhere? Watch out for Sophomores! You’d better be careful! It’s a crazy world out there, especially when a crew like the Class of ’90 is running the roads. “Driving is a privilege, not a right,” as Mr. Holstein would say. Everyday it’s like being in a Danger Zone-you never know when one of those wild and crazy Sophomores might pull up behind you. Granted, their pulling up behind you might not be so bad, but just try sliding into the passenger’s seat and letting them drive you. Do you experience a sudden feeling of terror? Thought so. So you ask, “What should I do if one of these Sophomores pulls up behind me?” Well, my advice to you is this: pull over, before you get run over! 44 Middletown High School Cavalier
