Fru-fru? Be serious! Seniors sat for their final school portraits. Senior portraits are very becoming when they’re completed, but getting them done is harder than it looks. Seniors are faced with having to show up to be photographed in August, in spite of the heat and a feeling of not wanting the summer to end. It was fun, though, because they ran into all of the friends that they didn’t get to talk to over the summer. Also, they tried to figure out what was going to be “in” this year and to decide what else they wanted to buy before school started. A new decision for the girls this year was what color “fru-fru to wear. This “fru-fru” gave the girls a new pose that added an elegant evening gown effect to their senior pictures. After the sitting came the choosing of the best proofs to be printed. Major problems arose here, as it was hard to choose from such good poses. These pictures were important because they would probably be the last pictures that friends would ever get, and everybody wanted to look their best. These would be the pictures that all their friends would remember them by; these would be the pictures that they would show everybody. Although they may not have realized it at the time, many years from now these pictures will be an important memory, and for their children it will be a look at their parents as young people. Senior portraits were also one of the first of their last memories of high school.
