Truly Witty... Twits travel to Mexico. The Twits Club is made up of students who get together with Mrs. Singleton and travel to Mexico. “Twits” stands for Truly Witty International Traveling Students. These students travel to Mexico during their spring break. They spend one week studying the Mexican culture, eating Mexican food, and having time to spend just looking at what they have been studying. By the time the students get the chance to go to Mexico, they have the ability to hold a conversation with people and put their hard work and effort to use. Checkmate? The chess club put much pride into their game. The members of the chess club put in much time to accomplish their goals. They stayed after school and met in the library to practice together. You could usually find all of the members at one time or another practicing on their own in the library. The club also invited people in from outside the school to practice with them and to teach them new skills. They competed against each other and other schools. Mrs. Fletcher served as their advisor, helping them to schedule their matches and practice time. 126 Middletown High School Cavalier
