“Classic Cavalier” Comaraderie abounds! On September 4, 1986, Middletown High School opened its doors for the fifty-eighth time to greet students and faculty for the start of a new school year. Expressions varied from fresh- men's faces of amazement to the fa- miliar here-we-go-again look of the upper classmen. Of course, along with the nervous chatter and comparing of schedules, there were the renewals of existing friendships and the begin- nings of new ones. With summer com- ing to an end, it was time to get back into the daily routine of living by a schedule and cracking the books. However, there is more to Middle- town High School than just completing lessons and taking tests. MHS is a CLASSIC example of how a small school can make a big mark on its students, on the community and even on the state. In the past, visitors have been impressed by the abundance of genuine smiles on students' faces. This uplifting attitude is one in which we take much pride. Our academic program is also something to be proud of, with a whole list of electives to choose from: foreign languages, mu- sic, art, woodshop, and more. In addi tion to our academics, MHS has a school-wide high level of enthusiasm and spirit. This spark of spirit helps kindle the flame of comaraderie which leads the way to a successful year. All these elements combine to form a unique mix which is “CLASSIC CAVALIER. In your opinion, what defines a best friend?
