Trailing 2-0 at the intermission. they responded in true Middletown fashion to push across for the only touchdown of the game and downed the Indians 6-2. LEMOYNE. In the only daylight game of the season the Raiders conquered the Trojans I4-7. a victory that later proved very bene- ficial to the champion Raiders. For the second consecutive week the second half rally by the Raiders spelled the difference between victory and defeat. MECHANICSBURG- Going into this game an underdog to the South Penn Wildcats, an inspired Middletown eleven ran roughshod in the second half to come out on top by a I9-7 victory. This game marked one of the finest performances of the season for the Raiders. In their fourth appearance of the season the Tigers pulled the upset of the Lower Susquehanna Con- ference by tying the favored Raiders 6-6. The Tiger defense seemed too much for the Raiders to solve with their T offense. LOWER PAXTON- The Raiders went into the game determined to come back after the previous week's tie. The Raiders shoved a sharper offense than the Rangers and came out with a victory of I9-6. ENOLA. Playing the highly rated Panthers, the Raiders reached their offensive peak of the season. The blocking was more vicious, resulting in the 32-6 defeat of the Panthers. STEELTON- This game was played and lost before the largest home crowd of the season. Although the score does not seem to indicate it, the boys played a very hard game. and it was one of those nights when everything went right for the opponents who came up with a 49-0 victory. COLUMBIA- Recovering from the only de- feat of the season the Blue Raiders rolled to the highest number of points for the season. After a shaky first half M-Town came through with a 40-I9 win. YORK CATHOLIC. with the Middletown first team playing only the first half of the game. the Raiders won over the Green and Gold eleven 34-l8. The York squad scored their points against the M. H. S. understudies. SWATARA- With the Lower Susquehanna Conference title at stake and sixteen seniors seeing their last bit of action, the Raiders had no trouble in downing the Eagles 27-6.
