Rumpled and crumpled, faded blue-white, Been through high waters, been through some fights. Seen plenty of sadness and heartaches and pain, Been tackled in football, ran through the rain. $£e,n 3 lot of gladness, seen laughter and fun, Waded through water roll d-upior tesun. Swayed through rock, concerts, blmtped'Tb’the -be Split open while skating,.patched.on the seat. Seems like I remember them once a dafk blue,’ Sort of stiff when I wore them, I hated them new. But all things must soften with age, f have seen, They faded to light blue, and then they were JEANS! They've seen me in love, out of love, mixed up inside, They’ve seen me in trouble; they’ve seen me lie. They’ve aged oh too quickly, some places just threads. But I plan to wear them ’til they’re in shreds. Well, summer's heat is with me now, my scissors..... As I cut off my blue jeans, it’s like killing a friend! Darla House

Mr. Charles Dean Brunjes Band doesn't always occupy Mr. Brunjes time. There are times when he can be found golfing, watching baseball, or even bowling. “Mr. B. is a sponsor of the Junior and Senior Bands and teaches General Music and World History. Mr. Marvin Day lives a dangerous life — teaching Driver’s Ed. He coaches both the boys and girls Senior High basketball teams and does a very fine job of it. Mrs. Wanda Bartlett not only enjoys her plants, but finds time to sew, collect antique glassware and bottles, and garden. Mrs. Bartlett is mainly involved with the ninth grade, teaching Consumer Ed. and General Business. Mrs. Donna Carr winds her timer, pumps her organ, and tunes her ears into “good” music. With her scedule of sponsoring the TIGER-ETTE staff and the tenth grade, she manages to teach Typing I and II, Shorthand, and Bookkeeping. Mr. Daniel Bufford is really into physical fitness. He teaches P.E. and Biology. He gets his exercise with outdoor sports such as hunting and fishing. Mr. Bobby Bigham isn’t only the eighth grade sponsor, but an All-American, too. He enjoys Civil War relics and teaching American History. Coach is known around MHS for his leadership of our football team. Mrs. Patricia Gilbert not only sponsors the Seniors, but along with that, the annual staff. Mrs. Gilbert teaches Junior and Senior English. Her hobbies of boating, skiing, and needlepoint keep her busy. Miss Gertrude Copeland says she likes teaching because she likes “laughing, crying, and helping students everyday.” Her subjects, Health and P.E., keep her involved in her hobby of playing basketball. In the words of this Senior class sponsor, “They aren’t all so bad!” ♦ 6
