The Library Club has been actively involved in the raising of funds to help purchase much needed audio-visual equipment and other materials for the school. The club’s twenty-two members have really gone out to make the library an asset to the students of MHS. Among the member’s duties are the shelving of books, helping students find books and the general maintenance of the room. The club culminated its year with a recreational and educational trip which will be the highlight of the year’s activities. Edith Sisco is hard at work!

The aims of the Beta Club are to promote citizenship and cooperation; to reward effort and achievement; and to inspire honesty throughout our school and community. The activities of the Beta Club included a campaign to finance the trip to the State Beta Convention in Nashville. STUDENT COUNCIL We tried, but we couldn't do it! The Student Council of MHS is a governing organization composed of elected representatives from the upper four classes. The purposes of this group are to foster a spirit of cooperation between the student body and the administration, coordinate and regulate student activities, maintain a high standard of personal conduct by example, promote and encourage activities for the best interest of the school, and develop good citizens through providing experiences in democratic living.
