BOYS' STA TE AND ' GI!-?LS'STATE Gem's Boy State was held on the Boise State University campus and the Syringa Girls' State was held on the Northwest Nazarene College campus this year. During one week they learned about the operation of the government legislature and the court room procedures. The last Friday they were there they sat in on the State legislature and ran their own day of legislature. When spare time was found they campaigned and made lots of friends. E -MM , . These students are chosen by secret ballot and the results are pub- lished in the school paper. Each boy and girl is chosen for their spirit and pride in the school and themselves.
