GAA. Girls' Athletic Association's main objective is the promotion and support of girls' sports. Among the many home games the club hosted, the District III field hockey tournament stands out as one of the main events of the year. The funds raised by the G.A.A. were used to order new warm-ups and uniforms for next year. Here are a few highlights from a successful second year, a championship field hockey team, a second place in the Gymnastics State meet for Laurel Spencer, a 7-2 basketball record and three track statersg Gloria Galvin, Mary Early, and high jump state champion Diana Pero. DRILL TEAM This year the Middleton High School Vikettes Drill Team has forty reg- ular members and three alternates. For the first time in the history of our school, the Vikettes competed in the Ninth Annual Pacific Northwest Girls Marching Contest on March 30, 1974. This is an exclusive drill team competitiong twenty-four drill teams noted for outstanding performance in the last year are sent invitations.
