Most of the problems that pertain to the school and the students are his responsibilities to solve. Each morning Mr. Brown starts with the announcements of the day. He sometimes substitutes for teachers and is an adviser to Student Council. uperiniendeni MR. STEPHEN UNDERWOOD is district superintendent of the sole Supervisory District of Yates County, which now in- cludes the central schools of Middlesex Valley and Dundee and also Naples in Ontario County. Board of Education The BOARD OF EDUCATION handles the policies under which the school operates. The Cur- rent problem with which the Board is faced is the growing population. The state is strongly behind the suggestion that the Middlesex Valley and Gorham districts combine and build a new high school between Rushville and Gorham. Crowded classrooms and lack of space will make it necessary to move some grades into rented quarters outside the school building next year.

Elementary upervisor MRS. RETA KNAPP was chosen supervisor for the grades. She also assists the teachers with their many problems. Mrs. Knapp's main job is remedial reading. Vice-Principal MR.
