THE MIDDLESBORO H. S. BAND Band has an unusual place. lt otters fun, trips, etc. for its membersg and a chance to learn music fundamentals, muscular co-ordination, discipline, mixing with other schools at public performances, and many other advantages for its members. A lot of hard Work by all lies behind the glittering appearance of our band. The band Won the SlUO iirst prize over a field of six competitors in the annual mile long Daniel Boone Festival Parade held in October oi this school year. This library is not only for the students, but for members oi the iaculty and citizens oi our community. lt contains over four thousand well-chosen books oi all kinds suitable tor high school students. The reference section is composed oi up-to- date materials such as bound magazines, encyclopedias, abridged and unabridged dictionaries, year-books, maps, atlases, almanacs, Current Biography, and special reference books in the Music, History, Art, Science, Literature, and Social Science De- partments.
